What makes our Windows VPS Hosting different?

Our Technology Hosting is what makes our Windows VPS Hosting unique. We provide our customers with the type of technology services used for all of our Windows VPS Hosting that global companies implement. We offer a highly sophisticated enterprise grade Windows VPS Hosting infrastructure at minimal costs.

Load Balancing: We have implemented a number of load balancers across our Windows VPS Hosting network, so as to not re-direct all traffic to one busy server. This means that all requests are dynamically distributed across our servers to ensure your Windows VPS Hosting service is served faster.

Database Servers: We are focused on providing a premium service, with high-volume traffic websites that outperform our competition. As a server is only as fast as its slowest component we have invested in high end IBM database servers utilising SSDs and highly tuned MySQL software.

Anycast DNS: We have deployed DNS nodes around the world. When you host your Windows VPS Hosting with us, we announce their IP address across our DNS network so when visitors from around the globe visit a VPS on our network, the DNS query will be completed from the physically closest DNS node resulting in a faster response.

Back-Up & Redundancy: Backups are important which is why we utilise several layers of backup. Our NAS performs nightly snapshots which are used to provide fast access to data and this data is then replicated to our DR site in Alexandria. Weekly backups are performed on site to a separate device to provide a final layer of redundancy.

Network Storage: With Network Attached Storage (NAS) there will be no delays when retrieving data from a local disk. There is also the added benefit that if a web server goes down, there is a greater level of redundancy, as all files are served on our NAS.

Hybrid Architecture: As some services perform better on a physical machine whilst others prefer a virtual environment, we deploy a hybrid architecture dependent on the service.

Web Clusters: Unique to our Windows VPS Hosting is the segmentation of all services within our network, where most services are being served on their own cluster. That is, HTML/CSS and images are served via its own server cluster, PHP is served through another cluster, incoming mail, outgoing mail, webmail, and so on are all on their own cluster. What does this mean? If a server fails or is over loaded, the server is automatically removed from the pool minimising any effect on customers as virtual servers are dynamically distributed to other servers.

Data Centres: Our primary data centre is the Equinix Sy3 Data Centre, located in Sydney, Australia. With over 260,000 sq ft of property the Equinix Sy3 Data Centre is one of the largest data centres in the Southern Hemisphere. It offers high quality, scalable solution with access to multiple carriers. The data centre's resilience is underpinned by a minimum N+1 standard for power and cooling systems, delivering an optimal operating environment to clients 24x7. The secondary data centre is in a separate offsite location in Alexandria, a Sydney suburb.

With the use of virtualization software, physical servers can be partitioned into multiple 'virtual' servers where each virtual server looks and acts like an individual dedicated server. Virtual Servers can run their own operating systems which means that each system can be administered independently - including system re-boot.

A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is one instance of a Virtual Server. It has its own operating system, applications and data which are all isolated from all other data that resides on the physical server.

A Virtual Private Server can enable you to leverage the benefits of dedicated servers at a fraction of the cost.
You can take advantage of the numerous benefits a VPS provides:

(1)Increased Security
(2)Improved reliability
(3)Ease of use
(4)Lower total cost of ownership

The one benefit, however, that really stands out for Virtual Private Servers is 'flexibility'. Given that VPS's have their own operating environments, you can install you own operating system / version, you can add and remove software applications at will and you can modify you environment for optimum performance.

A VPS allows you to customize your users' experience which, in turn, can be used as a competitive advantage.
As business web traffic increases, overall performance and throughput can be compromised. Any business owner who anticipates growth should consider a VPS.

Any business owner who needs specific custom applications installed on their server but is not able or willing to fund the purchase and maintenance of a dedicated server should consider a VPS
A Virtual Private Server is a partition on a physical server. The physical server can be divided into numerous virtual partitions which, in turn, will distribute the cost and overhead between the virtual servers.

Because the cost of the physical server is essentially shared between the VPS's, the servers, typically used in a VPS environment have greater performance capabilities and greater capacity than dedicated servers.

For most small business owners the cost of a comparable dedicated, server is cost-prohibitive.
Yes, absolutely! If you are anticipating growth you should consider the use of a VPS. The capabilities and the capacity of a VPS can easily be increased to meet your needs. If you are fortunate and experience significant growth, the applications and data that reside on your VPS can be easily moved to larger and / or to additional servers. Mirroring and load balancing servers are key capabilities of VPS's.
Dollar for dollar, Virtual Private Servers come out on top when compared to dedicated servers. Dedicated server users pay by far, more money to obtain the server performance and capacity that they can get from a Virtual Private Server solution. We leverage economies of scale to provide best of class hardware and software solutions.
